Born and raised on the Canadian Prairies Chris came from a long line of farmers and ranchers who were tied to the land. He carries that same respect for the land and the ingredients that come from it. His menus are based on seasonally available local ingredients to ensure the highest level of nutrients and flavour of his dishes.
Constantly learning and always looking to be challenged. He has a passion for mentorship and the promotion of local food purveyors.

With 20 years of experience in private clubs, hotels and restaurants learning, growth and development for both his cooks and himself has always played a key role in the manner in which he conducts himself in his kitchen. He gained his CCC, Certified Chef de Cuisine, in the fall of 2012, this certification is both nationally and internationally recognized. He was awarded Chef Educator of the year by the local branch of the CCFCC and was co-chair of Education for the Calgary Academy of Chefs and Cooks for four years.
